So, plastic jars…
That’s disgusting.
How dare you package this incredible nut butter of yours in plastic jars?
Thing is, I’m trying to do my bit to save the planet, so it’s important for me to use materials that reflect where I stand on the issue.
I can’t use bamboo jars, cos then you can’t see the product, and if you’ve read my post on corporate social responsibility, you’ll know transparency is important to Lush Yummy.
I don’t want to use glass, cos that’ll make the product significantly more expensive.
The outcome of that, if you think a little down the road, is that you’ll have to work harder to afford this nut butter, which means your carbon footprint will increase.
That means you won’t be sustainable, and they might have to replace you with something more eco-friendly.
Doesn’t sound too attractive, does it?
If it comes down to taking a punch from the corporate Nazis who insist everything be eco-friendly–unless, of course, it involves them giving up some of their not-so-eco-friendly practices–let me take it on your behalf.
Buy your nut butter from me, sustain your nut butter habit from a sustainable plastic jar, and don’t chuck the jar in the street when you’ve finished eating your nut butter, and we should all be okay.
But if the dogs come howling for your blood because you’re enjoying your nut butter from a plastic jar, point them in my direction.
There’s no such thing as bad publicity, so casting more light on Lush Yummy won’t go to waste.
