Another grain mill on the way

Gotta double up on the production.
another grain mill on the way

Ordered another grain mill today.

Can’t wait for it to arrive.

At first I wanted to use these machines Voortrekker-style.

You know, leather hat oppie kop, vellies on my feet, kortbroek, cranking by hand to the tune of a Laurika Rauch number.

I realised, despite being a boer, that this is prolly not a sustainable practice.

And remember, Lush Yummy is all about sustainability.

So I bought a cheap variable speed drill.

Sommer an Ingco.

Despite the miniscule price-tag, it works like a BOMB.

What I envision for my artisanal micro nut butter business is a series of these machines mounted on a table, with me flitting from grain mill to grain mill like a delicate butterfly–wielding a drilling machine–grinding out macadamia nuts and other ingredients, such as bananas, to create an eclectic symphony of taste.

Like a mix between industrial metal, classical music and Kurt Darren.

Better tasting, though.

Not sure what Kurt Darren tastes like, to be honest, and not sure I want to find out.

I digress.

Along with the grain mill, I’ve ordered the first batch of nearly ingredient-less dried banana, the one product that took me a million years to source.

The moment these products arrive at my doorstep I’m gonna start pumping out nut butter.

I’ll have a coffee first, though.

And prolly shoot the breeze with my cute Korean neighbour before I put my head down.

Cos once I’m in, I’m not coming out before Lush Yummy nut butter covers every square millimetre of my handsome body.

And that takes time and dedication, cos there’s a lot of me going aROUND. (See what I did there?)

This is for you. I’m doing this… for you… and don’t you forget that.

Praat weer.

Lekker.
